VJ Tech was excited to welcome some of our global agents and distributors to a week of training at our factory in Reading, UK. We had eight attendees from six countries on three different continents. The week consisted of two days of training and Q&A sessions on our products with our Service team, a day of hands-on experience learning how to do basic maintenance and fault-finding tasks with our Production team, and an overview of our R&D Roadmap and plans for 2025. The final two days consisted of one-to-one and freeform sessions allowing for any particular topics or areas of interest to be covered in more detail for those interested.

Many thanks to all of our agents who attended, and a big thank you to our Service team and Production staff who gave up time in their busy schedules to help provide training, and answer questions.

Day one kicked off with a short meet and greet, followed by a tour of our factory. After this, we moved into the Training centre, where our Service Team gave an overview of the following systems:

Day two continued where day one left off, starting in the morning with the Service Team, learning about our:

Day three started with an in-depth discussion with our R&D Team, looking at some upcoming products and projects in the pipeline over the next year. After this we moved into the hands-on section of the week, starting with a guide on upgrading system firmware and basic fault-finding exercises, before heading onto the factory floor and splitting everyone into three groups to receive some training and get some hands-on experience with the Supervisors in our Electronics, Mechanical and Calibration Departments.

In Electronics, we covered rewiring, changing touchscreens, and re-pinning connectors. In Mechanical, our distributors were shown how to service common products, assembly and maintenance of legacy systems, and common conversions/upgrades such as converting our ACONS Oedometer system capable of performing Triaxial, CRS, and SWCC tests. In Calibration, they tried out displacement sensor recalibration and linearisation and then looked at our fault-finding kit in more detail and how to resolve common issues.

Day Four began with some in-depth discussion and a showcase of our Clisp Studio Control and Logging Software and its capabilities, plus gave our distributors the opportunity for some feedback on modules or features that they or our clients would like to see in future. The remainder of the day, and the final day, were left open for one-to-one sessions with our Service and Production Teams to cover specific topics or answer questions people had.

Overall, it was very successful, and our Distributors found it informative and interesting. We would like to thank everyone who attended and all of our staff who participated to help make the week run smoothly and successfully.
