The VJ Tech digital Point Load Tester is used to determine the strength values of a rock specimen and can be used either in the field or the laboratory.

The basic unit consists of a two column, fixed head load frame, which accepts samples of up to 100mm and a hydraulic hand pump to apply the load. The sample is held between two conical points and a scale indicates the distance between the points. The applied load is displayed on a separate hand held digital display.

The Point Load Tester comes with a switchable Peak Hold facility and has a spring loaded piston release. Both the perspex guard and steel cones are replaceable when worn.

The Point Load Tester is supplied complete with a protective carrying case, gloves and goggles.
