Laboratory Vane Apparatus

The VJ Tech Laboratory Vane Apparatus, inspired by the original TRL design and adhering to BS1377 standards, is an essential tool for measuring the shear strength of soft soil in both undisturbed and remoulded samples.

The Laboratory Vane Apparatus employs torsional force via one of four precision-calibrated springs acting on a laboratory vane. It features a hand-operated frame with a 200mm diameter base plate, compatible with standard specimen molds and sample tubes. Load application and vane deflection are easily monitored through its scales.

To enhance testing efficiency, it offers three motorising attachments, which can either be pre-fitted upon purchase or added later at the customer’s location.
