- A sturdy frame with 2 electro-mechanical actuators for Horizontal and Vertical movement
- A Dual Axis Dynamic Servo Controller (DSC3000MM) for actuator control & Transducer data logging
- Interchangeable Direct Shear or Simple Shear carriage assembly for the sample
The System can be used for either a:
- Direct/Residual Shear test
- Simple Shear test with the height of the sample kept constant using Active height control
- Cyclic Simple Shear test with a cyclic horizontal force & constant Vertical stress applied
- Cyclic Simple Shear test with a cyclic horizontal force & constant height maintained
- Cyclic Simple Shear test with a cyclic horizontal displacement & Vertical stress maintained
- Cyclic Simple Shear test with a cyclic horizontal displacement & constant height maintained
