The ACONS (Automatic CONSolidation System);

  • Can carry out fully automatic Consolidation testing
  • Is able to test sample sizes from 50 mm to 100 mm
  • Uses compressed air so that no bulky weights are required
  • Has a small footprint and includes a 15 kN (2176 psi) Load Cell
  • Has 2 Analogue Input channels (1 for Load & 1 for Displacement)
  • Can be used with a DDG (but requires a Digital Interface box to the PC)
  • Connects to the PC via RS232
  • Has a large LED Graphics display
  • Easy to use keypad with 16 pushbutton keys
  • On-Board Calibration and Linearisation
  • Multiple units can be daisy chained together

Automated Oedometer Consolidation Testing System

System Pictured Comprises:

  • VJT0650A - ACONS Pneumatic Loading Consolidation Frame, complete with built in pneumatic force controller
  • VJT0271 - LSCT Transducer, 25 mm (1 inch)
  • VJT0655 - Consolidation Cell 50 mm (2 inches)
  • VJT-csODO - Clisp Studio Oedometer Software
  • VJT0545 - Air Compressor 10 bar (145 psi) (if no pneumatic air supply available)

Additional Options:

  • Displacement: VJT0110-MIT Digital Dial Gauge, 25 mm (1 inch) (with VJT1010-4D - Four Channel Digital Dial Gauge Interface for PC)
  • Consolidation Cell 70 mm:(2.75 inch) VJT0651 (Max. Pressure 3500  kPa (508 psi))
  • Consolidation Cell 75 mm:(2.95 inch)  VJT0665 (Max. Pressure 3500 kPa (508 psi))
  • Consolidation Cell 100 mm: VJT0665-100 (Max. Pressure 2000 kPa (290 psi))
