Equipment Maintenance part 4

Apr 30 2014

Equipment Maintenance Part 4 – Attaching the ACONS Earth Lead and Adjusting the Screen Contrast.

These 'Equipment Maintenance' posts are intended to show how to service and perform basic maintenance of different VJ Tech equipment. This post describes how to attach the ACONS earth lead should it prove necessary and how to adjust the screen contrast on the ACONS and other various VJ Tech Instruments. This may be necessary if the screen is too bright or too dark.

Attaching the ACONS Earth Lead

Remove the ACONS Front Panel by unscrewing the four bolts and lay the Front Panel down next to the chassis (there should be no need to remove the existing connectors).

Remove the nut on the bottom corner of the Graphics PCB attached to the Front Panel and then use to secure the eyelet on the supplied earth Lead (blue push-fit end) as shown below.

Remove the bolt from the corner of the Main ACONS PCB and use to secure the other end of the supplied Earth Lead as illustrated.

The resultant connection should be as shown below.

Re-attach the ACONS Front Panel ensuring that no wires are trapped.

Adjusting the Screen Contrast

It may be necessary to adjust the screen contrast on the ACONS (or other VJ Tech Equipment) if the screen is too bright or too dark.

The following table will tell you which keys to use on the ACONS and other VJ Tech Equipment; press the selected key a few times to see any change.
