Benefits of the Multi-Purpose Frame

The VJ Multi-Purpose Frame is extremely versatile & can be used for the following types of Test;

The Multi-Purpose Consolidation Cell (MPCC)

The MPCC enables 3 of those Tests to be performed. There are 3 different Cell kits, one each for Oedometer, Constant Rate of Strain (CRS) and Soil-Water Characteristic Curve (SD-SWCC) testing which are interchangeable, as illustrated below;

 


 

Triaxial Testing with the Multi-Purpose Frame

The Multi-Purpose Frame enables fully automatic total and effective Triaxial testing including;

  • Consolidated Drained (CD)
  • Consolidated Undrained (CU)
  • Unconsolidated Undrained (UU)
  • Stress Path

for sample sizes up to 50 mm and Loads up to 15 kN (using the integrated 15 kN (3372 lbf) Load Cell);
